Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant man has recently launched Student Police Cadet scheme 2023. This decision taken by Punjab government in order to aware the students about functioning of Punjab Police Department. That’s why Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Tuesday rolled out Student Police Cadet’ (SPC) scheme.
Chief Minister Bhagwant man said that, the course curriculum formulated by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) is to be imparted over a period of two years, for class 8 students from current academic year 2023-24.

Student Police Cadet Scheme 2023 Online apply Details
As we mentioned above, this scheme introduced to make student familiar about police functioning. The course curriculum formulated by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD). PB Student Police Cadet Scheme course for a duration of 2 years for class 8 students.
Under the scheme, 40 students each have been enrolled from 280 government schools. Total 11,200 students will be selected from total 280 school s. The same students will continue with the scheme in class 9 in the academic year 2024-25.
SPC Scheme in Punjab 2023 Budget allotment
For the smooth implementation of this scheme government has a also launched a dedicated budget. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that, government allotted rs 50000 per annum for each school. This government scheme implemented in every district to make students aware of police department functioning.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that, every month one class will be conducted indoor for course completion. In order to do not impact the current studies of students, while half-day twice a month to be kept for the outdoor activities preferably after the school hours or on the weekends.
Bhagwant man also said that, this initiative started by the government in order to make students familiar with the functioning of police, after this they will become active partner in governance and security.

Punjab state government has not made any announcement regarding application of the scheme. The students will be selected from the government schools from every district.
