This cleanup is a big deal because it’s the 36th year we’re doing it! The event gets organized by The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. The initiative covers 45 cities with the objective of keeping the entire state free of pollution.

If you can’t take part in the main cleanup day, you can still make it to the event. Starting on Sept. 1, you can join us for a whole month of cleaning up. You can do it in your neighborhood, at parks, or near water – wherever you like! This campaign supports Governor John Carney’s Keep DE Litter Free initiative.

Last year alone, 1,180 volunteers collaborated to remove an astounding 6,248 pounds of trash from waterways, wetlands, and other natural areas.

Role of Site Captains and Volunteer Supplies
