Telangana 2bhk Housing Scheme is a fully subsidized scheme,  known as  Telangana 2BHK Housing Programme  or as “Dignity Housing Scheme” ,  is an effort by the Govt. of Telangana. This initiative is really incredible. It is aimed to aid the poor people of the state. This is an important scheme which was started in the month of October 2015.

This scheme aims to cater the homeless and poor people houses totally free of cost which means no beneficiary contribution. The house will consist of 2 Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen. Around 5.72 lakh low-income households in the state will be accommodated by 2024. Initially this scheme had to face stumbling block, but later it gained momentum.  Total cost estimated of the project is Rs 18,000 crore. This scheme will be eligible for the BPL Families, those who owns Food Security Card. The prerequisite includes that they resides in Huts, Katcha or Rented houses. ST, SC and minorities, Disabled persons, Ex-servicemen or widow of Ex-servicemen and some others of both rural and urban area can avail this scheme.

Food Security Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Disability Certificate. (In case of Disability) , Ex-servicemen Card. (In case of Ex-servicemen) and Bank Account Details.

District Level Committee shall select beneficiary who may apply through application form. Initial scrutiny of the applications received shall be done by Gram Sabha Officer. Further will be verified by  Tehsildar . All eligible beneficiaries  list will be sent to the District Collector. Final approval by gram Sabha as per the schedule. Further  District Collector will approved the list and will be then available to the public. Finally house shall be allotted to the eligible families in the list.

• First go to the official website of Telangana Government Housing Scheme.
• On the homepage, look for Double Bedroom Sanction List.
• Now click on the beneficiary list of this housing scheme.
• Now Enter the gram panchayat, district.
• After, select the caste and community of your area.
• Now Enter your application number to download Double Bedroom Sanction List PDF file.
• Now you can open the beneficiary list PDF file.
• Check your name on the list.

In case any dispute or complaint arises regarding the beneficiary selection process it will be enquired. Enquiry will be done  by the District Level Officer who shall be nominated by the District Collector

2BHK Double Bedroom scheme Benefit:

The houses are of construction area of 560 Sq. Ft. in a plot area of 125 Square Yards , which computes upto Rs. 5.30 Lakhs at urban region and Rs. 5.04 Lakhs for Rural region. Infrastructure cost is separate. Infrastructure will include necessary amenities such as  Water Supply, Electricity, Approach and Internal Roads, Drains and Sewage. Rural and Urban infrastructure cost is 1,25,000/- and 75,000/- respectively.

Each house consist of 2 bedrooms,  1 hall, 1 kitchen, 2 toilets and 12 storage lofts, which is indeed space efficient , in At rural locations toilets can be either inside or outside homes.
